"As an avid food eater and beer drinker, I am a big fan of the Barlow in Sebastapol. Built on the site of a former apple cannery and located in the heart of this small Sonoma county town, the Barlow is home to local art shops, cuisine, distilleries, bakeries, and creameries - all interconnected with common gathering and event spaces. The rustic, somewhat industrial aesthetic is both timely and timeless. Some of my favorite landscape features include recycled concrete walls and edible plants throughout."

"I love that this plaza is one of San Francisco’s Publicly-Owned Private Open Spaces (POPOS). The design is beautifully detailed with luxe materials, a green wall, sleek seating, tree groves, and public art. One innovation is the structure for the green wall, completely independent of the adjacent building. The lighting is integrated seamlessly with the landscape, creating a welcoming space after dark."

"This community park in a high-density housing development is a place I found myself enjoying more than I thought I would. It provides access to water; is walking distance from most residences in the area; and is near a waterfront shopping promenade. All ages were engaged with the interactive water feature and the passive boardwalks allowed adults to walk and relax while their children played on the various themed play structures."
